The event is to enable young people in the area to express their views on the current services and activities available to them and to help service providers identify gaps. The focus of the day is two fold: 1. The consultation will aim to find out: 2. The showcase will allow service providers from the public, private and community/voluntary sector to promote their facility and programme of activities. Overall the event will offer a fun and interactive activity based day for young people. The aims of the day are:
You are cordially being invited to have a stall to promote your activities aimed at young people, advertise what services are being offered at present and provide information on services planned for the upcoming months. Your presence is an integral part of the consultation methodology as well as being an opportunity to directly access a captive audience of your potential customers. The day will begin with a relatively structured consultation that will provide you with a direct but somewhat limited contact with the participants. Once the “formal” consultation is out of the way there is an opportunity for societies, clubs and groups who specialise in young people activities. E.g. yoga, keep fit, martial arts to pre-book a slot to give a performance or demonstration. This will also be the time when you can gather specific information you need, or talk with a particular group of young people. If your organisation wishes to take part in this exciting event as a stall holder or to offer a stage performance, please contact:
Ms Aliyaah Baines on 01922 652284 or Dominic Leadlbetter or Charlotte Corden from CEN on 01922 648 618. Places are limited and requests to reserve a stall must be received by Monday 15th October 2007.
