    Tuesday 1st April 2008 Mr and Mrs Whitaker - Healthy House Plants
    A presentation by Streetly Horticultural society.
    Meetings are held at Streetly Community Centre, Foley Road East, Streetly at 7.45 pm.
    All visitors are made welcome and the contact number is 0121 353 1437.

    Every Tuesday...Organised Walks in Blackwood Park, Streetly
    walks will be taking place at Blackwood Park off Blackwood Road, Streetly every Tuesday afternoon. Walkers need to meet at the Park Pavillion at 2.00pm for a 2.15pm start. The walk will last about 30 minutes covering a distance of approximately a mile which makes it ideal for beginners and people new to activity.Streetly Walks in Blackwood Park

    Volunteer walk leaders are desparately needed. Perhaps you or a group of friends would be able to help?

    Tuesday meeting of Streetly Local History Group will be held from 10 - 12.at Blackwood Road Library Everyone welcome. Tea and coffee available.

    A regular event held on the second Wednesday of each month from 10 - 12. Everyone is welcome regardless of religious denomination. Come and have a chat and find out what is going on in your neighbourhood.

    Wednesday 16th April meeting of Streetly Local History Group from 10 a.m. - 12.00 noon at Streetly Community Assn. see more information on Local History Society page

    In an bid to reduce isolation amongst elderly residents and to promote community spirit, Health watch is helping to expand what is already a flourishing local history group. The first two meetings were well attended and members enjoyed listening to Keith Henney's childhood memories.

    Streetly will also be setting up its very pages with your personal recollections, stories and snippets of local social history, which may include pictures or even the facilty to record your words with an oral historian.

    Streetly website attracts visitors from every part of the world including people who once lived in the local area and now live far away but wish to leave messages and memories for friends on new pages being prepared for Streetly website, contact us if you wish to be included.

    Want to grumble, complain, and get results ? well.....NOW YOU CAN....Its official...complaints get noticed when you take a moment to write it down on a NEW "One off Issue" FORM. Down load it , fill the essential parts of the form, then choose, take it to your next CAG meeting or Local Neighbourhood Parnership Meeting, post it, or even save it on your pc then email back. The aim of this form is to report details regarding a "one-off issue" that any resident of Aldridge South or Streetly may choose. This information will be logged with a unique reference number. Once the completed form has been actioned you can obtain the latest status of your issue by contacting LNP officers Aliyaah Baines (01922 652284) or John Morris (01922 652029).

    Saturday 19th April " Sing For Life" Blackwood Road Methodist Church is holding a sponsored hymn sing from 10 - 12 at the church. Their challenge is to sing 50 hymns. All money raised will be donated to the Anthony Nolan Trust which provides bone marrow donors to patients in the UK and throughout the world.
    Everyone is welcome to join in or just listen.

    How services are delivered currently,

    How we can get public and patient involvement in the urgent care programme.
    Followed by a group discussion on:
    points raised from the presentation
    any additional relevant health topic
    HCCG’s were set up to assist debate about health needs, health priorities and the current and future service provision in Walsall.
    We would like to know what you think about your health service provision and how these services can be improved.
